HOUSTON, Texas (July 21, 2014) – Fashion Industry expert “Victor Quinteros” will be heading the so expected auditions for the hottest fashion event of the year: HOUSTON FASHION WEEK. The Casting will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, where aspiring models will get a chance to impress the team behind the show as well as participate in a training camp.

August 9, 2014 will begin the first phase of the audition process, when less than 100 hopefuls will get the opportunity to move on to round two. The final phase will be held October 4, 2014, where 40-50 people will ultimately be chosen to showcase their elegant walk on the runway the days of the event.

Organizers are looking for tall and slim healthy-looking women and men who have an athletic, not overly muscular build. While they are mostly looking for models in their 20s, teenagers and children will also be represented during the event. Models chosen for the camps will learn walking techniques, proper posture, and how to get the right facial expression and attitude on stage with the help of featured models Tonisha Symon Davenport and Michelle Carroll and fashion instructor Laura Cervantes.

Houston has played host to Fashion Week for the past four years with increasingly demand. The Fashion Event gives local, national, and international designers the opportunity to showcase their latest designs to industry insiders and potential clients. A variety of locations throughout Houston will serve as host for Houston Fashion Week when it begins in October.

Since 2007, Houston Fashion Week has been part of a mission to establish Texas as a major player in the industry, as well as bringing the event to a more central location. Organizers felt this was a perfect fit, as the city has become a leader in clothing sales.

Starting in 2015, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin Fashion Weeks will work together as the central region of the fashion circuit in association with the Los Angeles and New York events, give local designers more exposure, sales, and business development for their brands.

Featured Texas designers include Kimma Wreh (Houston), Carol Reyes (San Antonio), Benson Roberts Austin), International designers Eduardo Gonzales (Colombia), Adriana Echeverria (Bolivia), and more who decided to present their Spring 2015 collections in Houston, TX. H. Harloquin Boutique is also presenting a selection of couture designer gowns at the Couture Fashion Show, a black tie extravaganza at the JW Marriott “The Galleria” on October 09, 2014, where a silent auction to benefit the spinal cord injury association of Houston will take place.
